Change the Law on Acquisitions
We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to Change the Law on Acquisitions
How in this day and age can it be right that a company can buy another company and incur huge debt to do so?
I will use the current example of Kraft and Cadbury, “Kraft has said it will fund the deal with a mix of internal cash and added debt”.
This government needs to make a quick change to the law, stopping UK takeovers if the incoming owner will have debt greater than 30% of the annual turnover.
Wake up and see what’s happening, to reduce the debts they make people redundant.
Simple Actions could save jobs in the future.
