We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to Abolish the bankruptcy level of £750 and replace it with a limit equal to the ‘Small Claims’ limit

The Insolvency Act 1986, which allows an ‘Individual Creditor’ the right to apply for bankruptcy,of a person, is a violation of Human Rights. The presumption that a debtor is ‘unable to pay’ because of the issue of a stautory demand, whereas they may be unwilling, as they dispute the amount, is ‘unlawful’. Anyone who has been declared bankrupt as a result of an ‘unlawful judgement’ by any Court, since 1986, should be compensated in full.
