Save Channel 7 Community Interest Company
We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to Save Channel 7 Community Interest Company
Channel 7 is the last remaining not-for-profit community channel in England.
It broadcasts much needed local information and entertainment shows about the local areas of North Lincolnshire.
Following over 10 years of broadcasting on Virgin Media, Channel 7 has been served notice that Virgin intend to stop carrying the local channel from October 2009 and have refused to negotiate or investate alternative options.
We would therefore urge the Prime Minister to step in to ensure valuable local broadcasters like this are not lost and that space is made available to allow them to continue to serve the community.
This petition closed on Sunday 25 October 2009 without having attracted any support at all. The creator was left in a minority of one. Here’s your chance to comment on this petition.
