Stop The Football Leagues Chargins People To Use Fixtures
We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to Stop The Football Leagues Chargins People To Use Fixtures
I run my own website and I had to take down my fixture list for the premiership, championship, league 1 and league 2 as apparently I was infringing copyright laws.
To be able to post fixture or even talk about current Premier League fixtures, you have to buy a licence which cost over £1,000. For a website like mine and many others, whom do not make money from them, its out of our league.
My site is a discussion forum and if we cannot discuss future fixtures without fear of being sued then what can we discuss. It really does take the discussion out of my forums.
I would like to make it that all non profit organisations and fan websites can use the fixture lists free of charge and without the thread of legal action hanging over us.
