We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to explain why the Equal Opportunities Commission is apparently being disbanded; and, if it is, what is intended to replace it
On July 24th my paper had the following report: "It will take 200 years to close the ‘gender gap’ in Parliament the Equal Opportunities Commission FINAL EVER report says." The fact that this was the EOC’s FINAL EVER report makes it obvious that it IS being disbanded; but, in my VERY strong opinion, the FACTS in this "final ever" statement make it obvious that the Commission is needed now at least as much as it ever was.
This petition closed on Tuesday 25 December 2007 without having attracted any support at all. The creator was left in a minority of one. Here’s your chance to comment on this petition.
