We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to give Tony Jacklin CBE a Knighthood in recognition of his services to golf.
Tony Jacklin CBE won The Open in 1969 (the first British winner since 1951) and remains the last British winner of the US Open in 1970. As Ryder Cup player and later Captain helped to make the Ryder Cup one of the most anticipated sporting events in the world.
