We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to ensure that charities are politically indpendent by ensuring no national committee member has been politically active.
This petition aims to ensure that all charities remain politically independent by stopping elected officals, or ex-elected officials being on the national committee of a charity (for 10 years). This legislation is required because an ex-mp became director general of a national charity soon after losing her seat. How can this charity be politically independent?
