A Minority of One

We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to Ban variable rate residential home mortages; Create a new category of Lending institutions authorised to do this business.

Lenders borrow long term at low rates and then ride the hikes in interest rates to increase profits, at no additional cost to themselves, a practise which creats GREAT DISTRESSs to existing homeowners and their families.

This petition closed on Monday 16 July 2007 without having attracted any support at all. The creator was left in a minority of one. Here’s your chance to comment on this petition.
