enact legislation to clarify organ donation.
We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to enact legislation to clarify organ donation.
Currently there are more people wating for transplants than there are organs. To redress the balance, to receive an organ, you must be on the donation register. If you’re not prepared to donate, you cannot receive. Once you are on the register you may withdraw but family members may not do so on your behalf. This could be achieved through the electoral register.
This petition closed on Tuesday 27 October 2009 without having attracted any support at all. The creator was left in a minority of one. Here’s your chance to comment on this petition.
