We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to Rate all products bought by builders, landlords and private householders, with the express intention of improving the thermal efficiency of their properties (thereby reducing carbon emissions) VAT exempt.
It is now well established that if domestic heating demands can be reduced then there will follow a corresponding reduction in carbon emissions. It seems illogical then to tax householders, builders and landlords for improving their properties with the intention of reducing carbon emissions.
